I experienced extreme conversion therapy for being “sick with homosexuality.” My parents took me there after i had a suicide attempt due to undiagnosed bipolar. They told me god was punishing me and making me depressed cause I was living in sun. almost all of my PSNCs were related to homosexuality and how it was sinful. I read book chapters, articles, bible verses, etc. Not to mention the mental abuse i experienced from staff and all the physical abuse i saw between the girls and staff. I’ve seen girls have medical emergencies where they’ve needed medical attention and it was not given immediately and their were consequences. Girls tried to kill themselves, cut themselves, do things to make them very sick so they’d have to go home. We had so many runaways before i left cause of how bad the program was getting. And if you think these stories are horrible, then you should read some of the others, cause without a doubt I’ve heard of worse things. These places exist and they’re legal. it makes me sick
