Anonymous’ Testimony – Midwest Academy, Sunset Bay, Hosana, Coastal Harbor, and Camp Consequence

2008 – 2016

At Camp Consequence, there were kids as young as eight getting physically abused, they would be extremely homophobic and transphobic, they would force us to practice Christianity and if we wouldn’t we did not get basic rights, if we were punished we were not allowed to have a full meal or sleep on a bed, at the camps we were forced to sleep in tents in the woods with moccasins and wild boars. And we were also forced to go to a prison and get screamed at by prisoners and I had even lost the braces off of my mouth because of how rough the environment was .

At Midwest Academy, we were physically emotionally and verbally and sexually abused. There was emotional abuse and mental abuse all throughout the programs. We were as young as eight going into these programs and on the boys side there was a rape thing involving all of the under age kids and Devon Dade who ran for office in Keokuk Iowa covered up the sexual abuse story. I had FBI contacting me asking for my testimony and only van train was put away barely any of the staff were charged.

At Sunset Bay, I was choke slammed in crutches because I was apparently too unruly when I was getting bullied by my peers in every program but especially at Sunset Bay and they did nothing about it in fact they encouraged it. they also forced us to practice Catholicism. at hosanna it was just abuse physical abuse and I was forced to eat things that I was allergic to.

At Coastal Harbor, the kids physically abused me and the staff blamed me for it and punished me for it. I was sent to these programs to cover up the fact that my foster parents we’re sexually abusing me and physically abusing me and calling the cops on me for the trauma that they caused me whenever I would have anxiety attacks; they also made me have seizures and I developed a lot of mental illnesses due to all of this. The cops that were there forced me on the ground and threatened to tase me if I wouldn’t stop crying and these are the cops that work for the police in Jax FL police are notoriously racist
