Unsilenced visits the Mass Torts Made Perfect Seminar

In early April, Unsilenced was invited to speak and exhibit at the Mass Torts Made Perfect Seminar in Las Vegas, which is put on by Levin Papantonio Rafferty and The National Trial Lawyers Top 100.

Our very own Jeremy Whiteley and Emily M. joined the stage with Tommy James from Tommy James Law,  Jeremy Knowles from Morris Haynes,  Annika Martin from Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstien, and survivor Bridie Farrell from Milestone, to deliver a talk on litigation in the Exploited Teen Industry to hundreds of lawyers.

Jeremy and Emily were joined by Unsilenced volunteers’ Matthew DiMaio, an attorney with Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel LLP, and Matthew Donars.

We were also able to secure a booth in the vendor area to further educate and drive awareness to the legal community. While at the event, Unsilenced volunteers spoke to hundreds of attorneys about the unique legal needs of survivors.

We have created the Unsilenced’s attorney network to help attorneys meet the unique needs of survivors with referrals, education, and resources, including Project SPEAK and the Program Archive, which now contains over 100,000 documents on the Troubled Teen Industry (Exploited Teen Industry)/ Congregate Care Facilities.

If you are an attorney, we would like to invite you to join our attorney network.  Please reach out to us if have any questions or if there is anything we can help you with.

We were met with an amazing amount of support from all the attendees and staff.  It was truly amazing. We are so grateful for the support!
