Azariah’s Eva Carlston Academy Testimony

2020-2021

Damn. This was one of the worst experiences of my life.

To Kristi Ragsdale, FUCK you. You are a heartless woman who cares only about her money. I was forced to be in your shitty place for 14 months. When I called my parents everyday crying and begging for them to take me home, you guys would hang up the phone because it wasn’t a therapy call. We we not able to speak about the negative things that had happened or we would lose points. You are sick and disgusting and irritating. I am from Ohio and the school credits didn’t count. The community service we did, picking up trash in the parks didn’t count.

The time that I spent there was awful. There was a girl there who I was friends with. She overdosed and I know you know her name. Do not forget her name or her face. She didn’t die though. Thank fucking God. But she had to go to the hospital. YOU know what you told her, Kristi? You and Stephanie told her that it was all her fault and that she traumatized all the girls. That she should feel guilty and ashamed. You told her these things as you drove her back from the hospital. We weren’t allowed to talk about it. You are so mentally fucked up that I feel horrified. You are the only person who should go through this type of treatment.

I pray on your downfall. You are an evil woman. You make me feel sick. This is the truth. Since I left your treatment center I have only ruined every good relationship I have ever built. To all of you reading this, PLEASE think about this: Kristi Ragsdale’s husband, Steve, works as a therapist at the Second Nature Wilderness Therapy in Utah. In order for them to make money, people need to attend their programs. If one of the therapists recommends that the child needs more help and they are being told that ECA (Eva Carlston Academy) would be a perfect fit and match for the child, the parent would most likely listen to the therapist. From there, the child would be sent to his wife’s program which costs an insane amount. I mean if you were uneducated in mental health and a “professional therapist” told you your child needed more help would you listen to them?

My name is Azariah and this is just part of my story. I am not done with this place. I refuse to stop talking about it until something is done to change up this industry.
